چکیده

Interim analysis of a multicenter, randomized, clinical trial (Swedish Drug Elution Trial in Peripheral Arterial Disease) between November 5, 2014, and December 10, 2018. About one-half almost 2300 patients were treated with paclitaxel-coated devices uncoated devices. Approximately 25% died each group during mean follow-up 2.5 years. During the entire period, there was no significant difference incidence death treatment groups among chronic limb-threatening ischemia (about 33% group) or those intermittent claudication 10% group). In this randomized which received endovascular devices, 1 to 4 years follow-up.

Low-Dose Paclitaxel–Coated Versus Uncoated Percutaneous Transluminal Balloon Angioplasty for Femoropopliteal Peripheral Artery Disease

BACKGROUND Numerous studies have reported favorable outcomes using drug-coated balloons (DCBs) for treatment of symptomatic peripheral artery disease of the superficial femoral and popliteal arteries. However, the treatment effect compared with an uncoated balloon has differed greatly among the randomized trials, with better outcomes observed with higher-dose DCBs. This European trial was desig...

Peripheral Eosinophilia and History of Allergy in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease

Background: Coronary artery diseases (CAD) is the most common cause of death in the developing counteries.  Atherosclerosis is the leading cause of CAD. A number of studies have shown that total leukocyte count is a risk factor for CAD but there is little information on the role of eosinophilia and allergy.  The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between eosinophilia and histor...

Peripheral Artery Disease Surgical Technique and Peripheral Artery Disease

Invasive treatment for patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) has changed dramatically. Medicare claims data from 1996 to 2006 reveal an almost doubling of lower-extremity vascular procedures: The use of endovascular repair increased 3-fold, bypass surgery decreased 42%, and the amputation rate decreased by 29%.1 For patients admitted to hospital for PAD between 1996 and 2005, the likeli...

Peripheral Artery Disease Percutaneous Treatment of Peripheral Artery Disease

Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty is a minimally invasive therapy for the treatment of patients with peripheral artery disease who suffer from intermittent claudication or critical limb ischemia. The main advantages of the endovascular approach are a low complication rate ranging between 0.5% and 4%, a high technical success rate approaching 90% even in long occlusions, and an acceptable cl...

Utilization of collagen-based vascular closure devices in patients with severe peripheral artery disease.

BACKGROUND Collagen-based vascular closure devices (VCD) are commonly used after catheterization with femoral access. However, data about complication rates due to the utilization of VCDs in patients with known peripheral artery disease (PAD) of the lower limbs are inconsistent and patients with significant PAD are excluded in most VCD trials. In this study, we aimed to assess complication rate...
